Automatic Water Level Control System Using PLC Project

Here we have proposed the concept of “Water Level Control System Using PLC''. Most Industries are facing water level controlling problems, the major problem encountered is to monitor the overflowing of water. Sometimes water flows over the tank level. This water tank level controller system helps to prevent the overflowing of water from the tank and helps in maintaining the water level. Filling of the tank is monitored by two sensors positioned to sense maximum and minimum water levels of the tank. The water level is maintained by using two water level float sensors. One of the float sensors is plotted at the bottom of the tank, when the water reaches to the low level then the dc pump from the tumbler 2 gets on to fill the empty tank. The second float sensor is plotted at the top of the tank to monitor the high rise of the water level. When the water overflows or rises above the threshold, the solenoid valve gets on and passes the water from tumbler 1 to tumbler 2 through the pump. Green light on the PLC indicates the DC pump is on and Blue light indicates that the solenoid valve is on.

PLC Based Smart Elevator Control System Project

The main requirement of all multi storage buildings are elevators. Elevators ease the work of humans and keep him/her in the comfortable zone. Elevators are used in almost all the multi storage buildings in metropolitan cities. Elevators are nothing but the vertical transportation device which is used to transfer goods and passengers. Elevators use a limit switch for floor indication. High rise buildings and mall constructions are widely increasing and elevators are an integral part of the transportation medium in such infrastructures. By implementing plc-based smart elevator projects we can reduce the human efforts, accidents caused due to breakage of rope, efficiency and speed of elevator can also be improved. Even time can be consumed by using such a plc-based elevator controller system. PLC controlled systems play a vital role in stability and steady state of lift. It guides the lift in what order to stop at Floors, when to close and open the door. This plc based smart elevator control system project consists of three sensors, on each floor these three sensors senses the load in the elevator. On pressing the start button twice, the elevator moves till the second floor. And the press stop button is used to stop the elevator. As the elevator passes through the respective floors, the color of the lamp changes. Each floor will be given a respective color lamp as the elevator reaches to the floor, the respective color light lamp will glow.

PLC based Automatic Dam Shutter Control System

Dam is a barrier that stops or restricts the flow of water or underground streams. Dam is also used to collect water or for storage of water which can be evenly distributed among different locations. The farmers are dependent on seasonal rain and after that bore-well water for their crops. The dams have tremendous potential for economic upliftment and growth. They can help in checking floods and famines, generate electricity and reduce water and power shortage, provide irrigation water to lower areas, and provide drinking water in remote areas. Dams are typically constructed with a drain or similar mechanism to control water levels in an impoundment for normal maintenance or emergency purposes. A disaster is any event that causes great harm or damage, serious or sudden misfortune. Dam failures clearly fit this definition. This dam shutter open/close system using plc will overcome such circumstances, it will manage the water level of the water reservoir automatically. At two different levels, water is sensed according to which the gate is closed or open. That is when the water level goes above the threshold mark point level, the door opens and it raises a buzzer and the solenoid valve opens. When the water level goes down the door shuts automatically.

PLC Based Product Sorting Machine

Sorting systems are used to bridge between production and packaging machinery. Sorting systems are used to sort items based on various criteria so that they can be packaged accordingly. Manual sorting is a time and effort intensive process. Automatic sorting systems allow for fast and efficient sorting of products. To demonstrate the sorting system we develop a PLC based sorting system project that uses pistons with a color sensing system powered by PLC control to achieve this functionality. The system consists of a conveyor belt to carry products from one end to collection baskets. It consists of a color sensor to sense the type of products using color sense, the system now utilizes 3 pistons with piping and control valves to control their operations. The system is powered by a PLC to control the sorting system. 3 collection baskets are used to collect samples sorted by the pistons mounted parallel to each one. The PLC coordinates with sensors and piston valves in order to achieve the desired functionality and demonstrate the fully automated product sorting system.

Automatic Bottle Filling & Capping Machine Using PLC

Filling machines are machines of the packaging industry used for filling liquids, gasses, paste or powder into containers. Capping machines are used to cap the bottles filled with material. So here we develop a system to demonstrate the filling as well as capping system used for bottles in industries using PLC and mechanical assembly. The system makes use of filling using piston and syringe arrangement along with a capping system using motorized arrangement all integrated in a single machine. The entire assembly consists of a conveyor that pushes empty bottles towards the filling head. The filling head is responsible for filling bottles with water, later this assembly pushes the bottle in a circulating disc, which brings it to the capping station that places a cap on the bottle. The bottle that reaches the cap turning station which is a motorized arrangement responsible for spinning and tightening the cap on bottles. After this step, the assembly pushes the bottle over to the next point where it is rolled down the system as a finished product. We use a PLC based system to control the entire system working using sensors and motorized assembly.
